Skin-Friendly Home

For the people with sensitive skin it is likely that your home is making the maximum harm, most times even causing it. So a few tips on how to reduce the triggers:

Kitchen: Solutions aiding in cleaning and disinfectants can harm your skin and eyes. So it is wiser to use natural products like vinegar or baking soda. To help you better use gloves while handling harsh substances and keep the windows open.

Living Room: Dust mites easily gather on the soft furnishings along the seams. They are a major allergen and hence should be vacuumed regularly. To avoid this leather type coverings are the best. Other abodes of such allergens are carpets, curtains and other blinds.

Children's Room: Wash their favorite soft toys weekly with hot water or put it in the freezer for 3 to 4 hours and then wash. Make sure your kids don't sleep with their toys.

Bedroom: Keep it well ventilated. Make sure that you vacuum the mattress and curtains regularly. Have synthetic fillings for the pillows.

Bathroom: Use dry towels to keep the humidity level low. Avoid soap as much as you can. Use a moisturizing bodywash instead.
