Enter at your own risk

Five of the scariest places from the sinister skull o author Jeff Belanger:

->The Tower of London "The beefeaters live their with their families, and all have had experiences with ghosts. One beefeater saw a teddy bear float up in the air"

->The Catacombs(Paris) "It's humbling to see endless skulls and bones for 1.6 km(300 km re off limits). You get a sense of living history. But you also find yourself looking behind you now and then."

->The White House "Abraham Lincoln's son died of typhoid-like disease in the White House and Lincoln's wife Mary Todd, supposedly claimed he visited her repeatedly. Years later staff said the ghost of a boy walked the grounds."

->The Deanne House(Canada) "There are stories of suicides when it was a seedy barding house. A ghost of a man has appeared in the basement. The piano plays on its own upstairs. They hear footsteps all the time."

->The Olde Angel Inn(Niagara-on-the-lake) "It's haunted by a soldier who was killed there by the Americans during the War of 1812. They claim that as long as the Union Jack flies over the front door, and no American beer is served, he's at peace."

Homer Heals the Heart

Sometimes our breathing and heart-beats synchronize, leading to physiological changes that seem to help cardiac patients recover. The study has shown that reading aloud the poetic form known as hexameter, found in classical epic poetry, induces a rate of six breaths a minute, which seems ideal for this synchronization.

Making the Choice

I could have easily done things that every other person of my age were targeted to do. Get into the wrong places, meet the wrong people. It's all so simple and too easy and fast. But I chose not to. I had my own way of looking at what life gave me. That was different from others and so I could think and do stuffs my way. Not every person is lucky to fall in this category as I was. Nobody will be given full freedom. I was given my space by all and when you are allowed to take decisions you should be ready to. That is called the choice. And I'm glad to say I made the right one. Now looking back. So many years later, there is nothing I regret, just stuff I've always been proud of. And that is why you always hear "Life is always about making the right choices".
